Truffles Restaurant
The elegant award winning Truffles Restaurant (2 RAC dining awards / AA Rosette) really is a treat to dine in. An exquisite setting in relaxing surroundings offering excellent World Fusion cuisine and an extensive list of fine wines or lighter meals in MUFFINS Brasserie. On warm and balmy days, meals can be served on the Sun-Terrace overlooking the delightful gardens. Stroll around the grounds, look out for the many statues set in amongst the shrubs, look at the Temple Room at the end of the garden, sit on the Balloon Patio under the Pergola, or just marvel at the selection of over 70 different Tiffany Lamps both inside and out.

The Bar
A popular meeting point for locals and business clients alike. Here you can relax with a drink and maybe a snack from our exciting selection of hot and cold 'Bistro Style' dishes.

There has been a house on this site for generations but it was only in 1979 that this attractive family home was converted into a small hotel. Andrea and David Levene bought the hotel in 1986 and since then have made many additions, whilst maintaining its appeal as a stylish and elegant family run hotel to have as your base while staying in the South of England.

Things to do

Jane Austen's House
Jane Austen needs no introduction, she is one of the world's most famous authors and the writer of such classics as Emma and Sense & Sensibility.

The Jane Austen Museum is housed in Austen's 17th century Chawton home. The house is listed in the National Archives as a building of historic interest and is open to the public.

The Watercress Line
The scenic Hampshire railway operates heritage steam-train services over a distance of ten miles, between Alton and Alresford. The railway is an ideal, and very popular tourist attraction.

The Great Hall and Round Table
The Great Hall in Winchester Castle (roughly a 20 minute drive from the hotel) was the first and finest of all 13th century halls. It is hugely popular for it's greatest symbol of medieval mythology, "The Round Table of King Arthur".
